About Kristin J. Kelly

Kristie Kelly studies American Politics and voting behavior, with a particular focus on youth vote choice and participation. She completed her B.A. at the University of California San Diego, where she double majored in Political Science and Art History. Prior to graduate school, she worked in the private sector at a jury consulting and research firm studying public opinion and behavior. She holds an M.A. and Ph.D. in Government from the University of Texas. She is currently an Associate Professor of Government at Austin Community College, where she teaches an Introduction to U.S. Politics course and a Texas State and Local Politics Course. She also serves as the Instructor for an online Introduction to American Government course through the University Extension program for the University of Texas at Austin. She has also served as a teaching assistant for both undergraduate- and graduate-level courses in various topics in American Politics and Statistics.
